Yes, the holidays are upon us! As we approach Thanksgiving, prepare for Christmas and aim for the New Year our minds shift to the warmth of family, friends and even co-workers. This is the time of year when we step back and reflect on the year in its totality. Yes we must wrap up our year, but hopefully we take the time to reflect on all the good that has taken place–the relationships we have both built and strengthened, the goodness we have shared, and the abundance that overwhelms us.
There is a great American tradition at this time of year–the Holiday Party for both our extended families and at our places of work. During the holidays, we once again say hello to the distant relative or the spouses of those we work with–we actually cross the boundaries of distance and professional decorum that lock us in the rest of the year. As this can be intimidating–meeting strangers, reconnecting with someone from our distant path–we turn to food to create a common experience amongst us. Simply stated, there is no Holiday Party that does not include an indulgence in good cuisine!
In honor of this most basic of traditions, Curious Table offers you this week a Utah-style Holiday Roast. This is a satisfying dinner of fall-apart pork roast, updated funeral potatoes & roast vegetables, and our beloved Curious Bread! Enjoy this comforting food this week, but let us know if we can serve you soon at your family and/or office gathering. When we say “Happy Holidays” might the food we share together be the happiest part of all!
From our table to yours…
Eat well, be well!
